Getting Started

First-time setup

  1. 1

    Install the app

    Download The Tanpura on the App Store or Google Play. The first launch sets up the audio engine.

    Allow audio

    Make sure your device is not muted. The app uses native audio so it sounds the same on every device.

  3. 3

    Pick your Sa

    Open the Tanpura tab and use − and + beside the note to set your Sa, then the cents slider to fine-tune it. Tap Start and you are ready to practice.
